Every college student looks forward to their spring break because it is a time where they have time off from school and are able to go places with there friends and family. In the past years I spent my spring breaks at home or at a relatives house. Now that I am in college, I want to do my spring break a little different. The ideas I have come up with for my spring break vacation is to go to Miami with some friends, go to New Jersey to see friends and family or to spend the week in Atlanta and experience new things.
Going to Miami would be something new for me because I have been to many of parts of Florida but have never been to Miami. I have always wanted to visit the city because I’ve heard so much about the beach and the clubs. Miami is known for sunny weather, so I definitely want to get away from the rainy and cold weather that is in Georgia for a while. The people that I am supposed to be going down there with go to Georgia State University. The person that offered me to go has a brother in Miami. This can save me and all the other people that are going a lot of money because he said that we all can stay at his brother’s house. This saves us the trouble of looking for a hotel because around spring break time, hotel costs are very high and they sell out quickly. Plus college students from around the nation come to Miami to spend their spring break. One thing about Miami that excites me is the beach. Miami is famous for its beach because a lot of celebrities can be seen on it. Recording artists shoot a lot of videos on the beach also. Another thing about Miami that I want to experience is its night clubs. I love to go to clubs because it gives me a time to dance and interact with other people. I have never been to a club in Miami but they are probally more exotic than the clubs in Atlanta because most of the clubs are surrounded by the beach. Going to Miami will give me a chance to see another part of Florida and feel the atmosphere that Miami has to offer.
The last time I went to New Jersey was for Thanksgiving in 2001. Spending my spring break in New Jersey is great idea because it will give me a chance to see my friends and family, such as my grandmother, my aunts, uncles and my cousins. When I go to New Jersey, I always have the best time. My favorite cousin also lives in New Jersey. Our personalities and hobbies are exactly the same. When we get together our main hobby is to play basketball. I love to play basketball in the north because they have a different flavor than the basketball players in the south. I always experience new things when I go to New Jersey. The last time I was there, my uncle took me a fast-food restaurant called White Castle. I never even heard of this place until I was taken there. I come to find out that White Castle in New Jersey is just like the Krystal’s in Georgia. When I do go to New Jersey, it is always around the end of the year and in the winter time. Since spring is right around the corner, it would be nice to be up there while the sun is mostly shinning. Spending my spring break in New Jersey is also a good idea because I will get the chance to see all of my relatives that I don’t get to see that much. Since I’m in Georgia and my relatives are in New Jersey, I rarely get to see them. This will also give me a chance to spend time with my grandmother because she is the heart and soul of my family and any chance that I have to see her, I take it.
The last idea that I came up with to do for my spring break vacation is to spend it in Atlanta doing new things and seeing new people. When I go to Atlanta I always have fun because every time I go there, I do something different. I have to brothers that stay around the Atlanta city limit so they let me know what is going on and what there is to do. When I am with my two brothers, they each show me something different. One of my brothers usually shows me where all the clubs are and where the parties are at. On the other hand, my other brother usually shows where different stores are at so I can find shoes and clothes to buy. When I am in Atlanta, I’m usually not alone. I know a lot of people in all parts of the city. This also gives me a chance to visit the people that I know in Atlanta and to spend time with them before I go back to school. Meeting new people is also one thing that I love to do because when I always come back to Atlanta, I’ll have some one else to talk to and hang out with. I usually meet people at night clubs or parties. Atlanta is not that far from my house so if I needed to come back home for any reason, then I wouldn’t have any problems. A lot of college students come to Atlanta for spring break just like they like in Miami. It has become a very popular city, so I know the chances of me getting bored is very slim.
Spring break is a time to let loose and concentrate on having fun because it only comes around once a year. What I want this spring break is to have ultimate fun before I go back to school by doing things that interest me. I think college students love spring break so much because when we here the word “spring break”, we automatically think about having fun and partying. Every college student looks forward for their spring break and I don’t think that many college students would pass it up.
Spring break to me is one of the most exciting times of the year and I’m usually at the state of mind where I want to let all my problems go and have fun because most of the year I’m in school and I usually don’t have time to have fun. My past spring break vacations haven’t been as exciting because I usually stay at home and do nothing but I have a feeling that this spring break will be one to remember. I haven’t figure out which one of the ideas I’m going to choose, but hopefully the one I choose will be the vacation I'll remember the most.
